Home - Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Clay & Chrome. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your relationship with Clay & Chrome (“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) and apply to all quotations, orders, sales, and installations of our intelligent home solutions, including but not limited to Invisible Grilles, Pleated Mosquito Mesh, and Custom Pergolas.

By placing an order, accepting a quotation, or scheduling an installation, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Scope of Work & Quotations

  • Validity: All written quotations provided by Clay & Chrome are valid for a period of 30 days from the date of issue, after which prices may be subject to revision.

  • Site Verification: Final pricing is strictly subject to physical site measurement by our authorized technicians. If the actual dimensions or site conditions vary from the initial layout provided by the customer, the final invoice amount will be adjusted accordingly.

  • Customization: All products are custom-manufactured to bespoke site measurements. Once a design and measurement sheet is signed off by the customer, no further modifications can be made.

2. Payment Terms

  • Advance Payment: A mandatory advance payment of 50% to 60% (as specified in your quotation) is required to initiate material procurement and custom manufacturing.

  • Balance Payment: The remaining balance amount is strictly payable immediately upon completion of the installation work at the site, prior to the team leaving the premises.

  • Delay in Payment: Delayed payments may attract an interest charge of 18% per annum from the date the payment becomes due.

3. Site Readiness & Installation

  • Customer Responsibility: The customer must ensure that the installation site is clear, accessible, and ready at the agreed time. This includes obtaining necessary permissions from society management, builders, or local authorities (especially for high-rise balcony installations).

  • Power & Utilities: The customer must provide uninterrupted electricity supply and adequate lighting at the site for drilling and installation equipment.

  • Hidden Utilities: While our team takes utmost care, Clay & Chrome is not responsible for accidental damage to concealed electrical wiring, internal plumbing, or structural glass if their exact locations were not clearly mapped out and informed to our technicians beforehand.

4. Timeline & Delivery

  • Estimated Schedules: Delivery and installation timelines provided at the time of order booking are estimates. While we strive to deliver within the promised window (typically 3–7 business days for grilles/mesh), Clay & Chrome is not liable for delays caused by force majeure, severe weather conditions, supply chain disruptions, or society restriction protocols.

5. Product-Specific Terms & Maintenance

  • Invisible Grilles: Our invisible grilles are made with premium structural materials (such as high-tensile SS 316 grade steel). They are designed for safety and structural barrier purposes. They must not be intentionally cut, modified, or subjected to weights/forces exceeding their rated capacity.

  • Pleated Mosquito Mesh: Mesh systems must be operated smoothly along their tracks. Damage caused by forced operation, accumulation of heavy debris in the bottom tracks, or pet clawing/chewing is not covered under structural wear-and-tear.

  • Natural Wear: Regular cleaning of tracks and dusting of mesh surfaces are the customer’s responsibility to ensure longevity.

6. Warranty & Claims

  • Warranty Period: Clay & Chrome provides a specific warranty against manufacturing defects and rust on select components (as detailed explicitly in your final invoice document).

  • Exclusions: The warranty strictly does not cover defects or damage resulting from:

    • Misuse, negligence, or accidental physical impact.

    • Unauthorized modifications or repairs handled by third-party technicians.

    • Natural disasters, fire, or external chemical exposure.

  • Service Turnaround: Valid warranty claims will be attended to by our service team within 48 to 72 working hours of formal registration.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Clay & Chrome shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use our products. Our total liability for any structural claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by the customer for that specific product installation.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka.

Note for the Customer: By confirming your order via advance payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the above Terms and Conditions.
